Accessibility statement
Regimate should work for everyone who loses something, and everyone who finds it.
In short. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across our websites and apps. We're not there everywhere yet, and we've listed what we know about below. If something doesn't work for you, email support@regimate.app and we'll help.
1. What this covers
This statement applies to this website (regimate.app), the Regimate web app, Enterprise and developer portals and help centre at my.regimate.app, the public pages people reach by scanning a Regimate QR code or tag, and the Regimate apps for iPhone and Android.
2. What we do
- Use clear, plain language, and keep the finder journey short: scan, write a message, send.
- Build pages with semantic HTML and a logical heading structure, so they work with screen readers.
- Give meaningful images text alternatives and hide purely decorative ones from assistive technology.
- Use light text on a dark background with strong contrast, and never rely on colour alone to show an item's status.
- Make layouts responsive so pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
- Include a “skip to content” link and visible focus states for keyboard users.
- Use standard form controls with visible labels.
3. Known limitations
- On larger screens, the Product and Trust menus in the website header open when you hover over them. Keyboard users can reach every page they contain through the main links, the footer and the menu on smaller screens.
- Some decorative background animations don't yet respond to your device's reduce-motion setting.
- The lost items map isn't fully usable with a screen reader. The same items can be found through search.
- Lost posters and item reports generated as PDFs may not be fully accessible.
- We haven't yet completed a full independent audit of the iPhone and Android apps with VoiceOver and TalkBack.
We're working through these and will update this statement as we fix them.
4. Getting help or another format
If you can't use any part of Regimate, or need information in a different format, email support@regimate.app with “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us what you were trying to do and the device or assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within five working days.
5. Reporting a problem
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Regimate. Please tell us about any barriers you find using the same address, and we'll treat them as bugs.
6. If you're not happy with our response
You can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which can advise on rights under the Equality Act 2010.
7. How we prepared this statement
This statement was prepared on 10 October 2026, based on our own review of our websites and apps. We plan to commission an independent audit and will publish the results here.
